During his artistic career, Hubert Berke draws and paints a number of portraits, caricatures and nudes. He displays a particular talent for capturing the essence of a person with just a few lines. Besides realizing various commissions, he mainly portrays family, friends and acquaintances, while every now and then also painting self-portraits. In the early years, his paintings are still very detailed but are getting more and more minimalistic over time – reflecting his current painting style.
